What to do

Orcas Island embodies everything we most appreciate about the pacific northwest! During your free time check out some of our favorite local spots. We hope you come to love this place as much as we do!

For the Foodies

Orcas Island has some wonderful food options! Enjoy a taste of the San Juan's with fresh seafood from Buck Bay Shellfish Farm.  Is seafood not for you? Try some of the other farm-to-table options; the Inn at Ship Bay, Doe Bay Cafe, Newleaf Café or Kingfish at West Sound!

For the Adventurers

Care for a hike? Orcas Island is the home of several state parks and preserves!  Moran State Park and Turtleback Mountain Preserve offer trails for hiking, mountain biking, and more.

For the Artists

Eastsound, Orcas Island's main village, has been honored by ArtPlace as "One of America's Top Twelve Small-Town ArtPlaces" and is home to a large variety of galleries.  Take the scenic driving tour of Orcas Island and check out its many pottery and art galleries. Some of our favorites; Olga Pottery, Orcas Island Pottery & Orcas Island Artworks.

On The Water

June is whale watching season!  Enjoy a whale watching charter, fishing charter, or bring a kayak and explore the many small bays around the island.
